Vocal Interface For A Man-Machine Dialog
نویسنده
چکیده
We describe a dialogue-handling module used as an interface between a vocal terminal and a taskoriented device (for instance : a robot manipulating blocks). This module has been specially designed to be implanted on a single board using microprocessor, and inserted into the vocal terminal which already comprises a speech recognition board and a synthesis board. The entire vocal system is at present capable of conducting a real time spoken dialogue with its user.

متن کاملSocial robots – emotional agents: Some remarks on naturalizing man-machine interaction
The construction of embodied conversational agents – robots as well as avatars – seem to be a new challenge in the field of both cognitive AI and human-computer-interface development. On the one hand, one aims at gaining new insights in the development of cognition and communication by constructing intelligent, physical instantiated artefacts. On the other hand people are driven by the idea, th...
متن کاملModelling Paralinguistic Conversational Interaction Towards social awareness in spoken human-machine dialogue
Parallel with the orthographic streams of words in conversation are multiple layered epiphenomena, short in duration and with a communicative purpose. These paralinguistic events regulate the interaction flow via gaze, gestures and intonation. This thesis focus on how to compute, model, discover and analyze prosody and it’s applications for spoken dialog systems. Specifically it addresses autom...

This paper describes the RAMPE system for the mobility and autonomy of blind people in public transports. It is intended to equip bus or tramway stops or to be installed in poles of transport interactions. In the system, the user carries a smart handheld device (PDA) that communicates by a wireless WiFi connection with fixed equipment in the bus or tram stations. A special care has been given t...
متن کاملGrounding Simulation in Spoken Dialog Systems with Bayesian Networks
User simulation has become an important trend of research in the field of spoken dialog systems because collecting and annotating real man-machine interactions with users is often expensive and time consuming. Yet, such data are generally required for designing and assessing efficient dialog systems. The general problem of user simulation is thus to produce as many as necessary natural, various...
